WORKSHOP ON “ANGER MANAGEMENT”
“He who angers you, conquers you.”
Renowned scholars have often noted that true strength lies not in giving in to fits of anger, but in the resilience to withstand pressure. In alignment with this wisdom, a workshop on “Anger Management” was held in the premises of D.A.V. Public School, Sector-37, Faridabad for the students of Class IX on the 21st and 28th of August 2024. The session was conducted by School Counselor Ms. Pavittra Vaidya, under the guidance of Principal Ms. Deepti Jagota and Supervisory Head Ms. Sumita Dey.
The workshop explored various aspects of anger, including the use of abusive language as a means of venting, the common triggers that provoke anger in teenagers, and the physical symptoms that accompany these emotions.
Practical anger management tips and exercises were shared to equip students with strategies to remain cool and composed in challenging situations. Short, engaging videos on anger management were also presented to enhance the interactive nature of the workshop.
The workshop concluded with the powerful message that anger need not be entirely expressed or suppressed; rather, it should be managed and channeled in a constructive direction.
