Nagar Kirtan Procession on the occasion of
Guru Nanak Jayanti
To mark the Birth Anniversary of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak DevJi, an impressive Nagar Kirtan Procession was organised on the serene morning of 9thNovember, 2025 by the devotees of the Gurudwara Singh Sabha situated at Sector-37, Faridabad.
A grand palanquin, carrying the revered Guru Granth Sahib, was splendidly decorated and the band, playing traditional instruments, and showing off their martial arts skills, added to the festive cheer.
D.A.V. Public School, Sector-37, Faridabad, under the leadership of the School Principal, Ms DeeptiJagota, along with Supervisory Head of the Senior Segment, Ms.Sumita Dey and Staff members, participated in the grand procession, paying respect to the much-revered saint - honouring the invaluable teachings of Guru Nanak DevJi and his message of peace, brotherhood and selflessness. The School Band added colour to the festivities by displaying fine skills and coordination, attracting the attention of passers-by and devotees.
The event manifoldedit's dimension with the felicitation of the meritorious students of Class X and XII with a cash award of Rupees Ten Thousand.
