Report on Inter-House Competition

D.A.V. Public School, Sector-37, Faridabad, in its quest for holistic development of its students, conducted an Inter-House Hawan Competition as well as Animated Story Creation Competition for its Middle Segment students on 29 November 2025.
The Hawan Competition, organised with an aim to promote spiritual values, cultural awareness, creativity, and teamwork, saw the wholehearted sincere participation of the students of all the six houses as they showcased exemplary discipline and cooperation. The auspicious event began with the lighting of the sacred fire, followed by the chanting of Vedic mantras. The participants performed the rituals with complete sincerity, maintaining purity and devotion throughout. The aroma of incense and the rhythmic chanting created a serene and spiritual atmosphere across the school premises.
Simultaneously, the Inter-House Animated Story Creation Competition was held for the students of Classes VII and VIII, with the objective of encouraging creativity, logical thinking, and coding skills. Working in pairs, the students designed interactive stories on the theme ‘Cyber Safety and Security’. Their projects reflected originality, sound coding knowledge, and strong visual creativity. The computer lab buzzed with excitement as students debugged their programs, collaborated with their teammates, and refined their final presentations.
After careful assessment, Vindhyachal House secured the First Position, followed by the Shivalik House, while the Aravali House bagged the Third Position in the Hawan Competition where as the Everest House secured the First Position, the Second Position went to the Vindhyachal House and the Third Position was bagged by the Himalaya House in the Animated Story Creation Competition.
The School Principal, Ms Deepti Jagota, and the Supervisory Head of the Middle Segment, Ms Ashu Pandita Kaul, appreciated the sincere efforts of the students and encouraged them to continue exploring their talents. The events successfully achieved their aim of promoting teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and technological confidence among students. The Inter-House Competitions proved to be an enriching, inspiring, and memorable experience for everyone involved.
