D.A.V.Public School, Sector-37, Faridabad Report on Class VI F Assembly

With the objective to express themselves, develop essential skills and impart values, the students of Class VI F presented a splendid Class Assembly programme on the topic - Impact of Technology on our Daily Lives.’

The event envisioned, under the guidance of the School Principal, Ms. Deepti Jagota, began with the chanting of Gayatri Mantra and the school choir mesmerised everyone with a soulful prayer. The highlight of the assembly was a musical skit showing how smartphones have impacted our lives drastically. The event projected the contrast between the children of the pre-mobile era and the post-mobile era. They effectively demonstrated how the children during the pre-mobile era enjoyed themselves by indulging in games that helped to develop fine motor skills. It was a nostalgic reminiscence for the parents and as well as the teaching fraternity present in the hall. Using bright banners the students put across their message vividly. It was an informative presentation as well as a musical treat .

The School Principal in her address reiterated that technology should be used judiciously to bring about a positive change in the society and urged everyone to refrain from being excessively addicted to social media. She also reminisced about the days gone by, when people had real, meaningful and lasting connections unlike the present times. The Supervisory Head of the Middle Segment, Ms. Ashu Pandita Kaul, appreciated the efforts of the students. The event successfully ended with the Samapan Geet and Jai Gosh.
