Transition to clean energy is investing in the future

Aligning itself with global goals, D.A.V. Public School, Sector- 37, Faridabad, under the leadership of the School Principal, Ms.DeeptiJagota, creates platforms to raise awareness about the critical need of the hour - Environmental Preservation and its Conservation. Class VI A students presented a splendid Class Assembly on the theme – ‘Powering a Cleaner Future - Renewable Energy for All (Sustainable Development Goal No. 7)’ on 27 August 2025.

The enthusiastic young environmentalists presented the global crisis caused by environmental degradation due to excessive use of fossil fuels and deforestation. Through an informative skit, they highlighted the urgent need for humanity to adopt renewable and sustainable sources of energy. The message was further perfected by the mellifluous rendition of the song ‘From Fossil Fuels to a Brighter Day’. Children are the future of the world. Realising their responsibility, the students took an oath to take constructive steps towards a greener future. A well-orchestrated dance number on the theme –‘Heal the World’, impressed the audience comprising the students and their proud parents. Quoting Mahatma Gandhi that there is enough for man’s need but not for man’s greed, the Supervisory Head of the Middle Segment, Ms.AshuPanditaKaul, reiterated the message of environmental conservation and urged every individual to take strong steps towards preventing the catastrophe waiting to explode. She also lauded the efforts of the students and motivated them to achieve many more milestones in their life. The programme ended with SamapanGeet and Jai Gosh.
