Report- Visit to National Crafts Museum and Hastkala Academy

Under the able guidance of our Principal, Ms. Deepti Jagota, the students of Class 11 (Home Science)  visited ‘The National Crafts Museum and Hastkala Academy’ to mark the celebration of Handloom week. The visit aimed to provide students with first-hand exposure to India’s rich handloom and handicraft heritage.

Students explored various galleries showcasing traditional weaving techniques, regional textile varieties, and intricate embroidery styles of different states. They also interacted with craftsmen and skilled artisans , gaining insights into sustainable textile production and the importance of preserving indigenous crafts.

Overall, it was an enriching and educational experience that connected classroom learning with cultural heritage.
