Inter House English Debate Competition

Senior Segment (Session 2025–26)

On 1st August 2025, D.A.V Public School, Sector - 37, Faridabad conducted its much-awaited Inter House English Debate Competition for the students of Classes IX to XI. The event served as an engaging platform to demonstrate their oratory skills, critical thinking, and the ability to understand and respect diverse perspectives.

The topic for the debate was "Clean Energy Transition is Impossible without Affecting Economic Growth". Each of the six houses was represented by two speakers, one speaking for the motion and the other against it. The participants impressed the judges and audience alike with well-reasoned arguments, effective rebuttals, and confident delivery. The event witnessed a healthy clash of ideas, reinforcing the importance of respectful dialogue and evidence-based reasoning.

After a close evaluation, the results were declared. First Position was bagged by Everest House. Second Position was won by Vindhyachal House. Third Position was achieved by Shivalik House.

Our Honourable Principal Maam, Ms. Deepti Jagota appreciated the effort and composure of each participant. She announced Appreciation Certificates for all the speakers in recognition of their performance and commitment. A Special Appreciation was also awarded to Ritika Negi of Nilgiri House for her particularly impactful performance.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Supervisory Head of Secondary and Senior Secondary Segment, Ms. Sumita Dey, and proved to be a meaningful opportunity for the students to build confidence, explore multiple viewpoints, and express themselves with clarity and conviction.

The Inter House English Debate Competition 2025 was a true reflection of the school's commitment to nurturing articulate, aware, and responsible individuals prepared to engage with the world around them.
