Report on Inter-House Display Board Competition
‘Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.’
On 12 July 2025, D.A.V. Public School, Sector-37, Faridabad, organised an Inter House Display Board Competition for the Middle Segment. Enthusiastic hands joined together to bring the theme - From Fossil Fuels to Renewable Sources of Energy - to life. The theme was carefully chosen to inculcate self-confidence, collaboration and critical thinking skills as well as to raise awareness, from an early age, about the reckless use of fossil fuels that has led to depleted resources, and how alternative solutions, such as renewable sources of energy, are the key to survival in the future,
The competition encouraged teamwork and research skills, as the students collaborated to produce visually-appealing informative boards. The judges were highly impressed by the intricate detailing and innovative layouts. Using vibrant colours and 3-D effects, the talented students transformed the boards into a cynosure of beauty. The Shivalik House bagged the First Position, the Aravali House clinched the Second Position, and the Third Position went to the Himalaya House.
The competition was not just about winning the coveted position, but also about celebrating talents, nurturing artistic skills, and providing opportunities for students to express their ideas. The School Principal, Ms. Deepti Jagota appreciated and encouraged the students to take part in more such competitions which are planned exclusively to hone the skills that play an essential role in developing 21st Century Skills. Supervisory Head of the Middle Segment, Ms. Ashu Pandita Kaul praised the young artists for making the event a success.
