‘Dance is the joy of movement and the heart of life’

Inter House International Dance Extravaganza, held at D.A.V. Public School, Sector-37, Faridabad on 9 August 2024, presented a unique opportunity for the students of the six houses to rejoice in not only Indian dance forms but also revel in the universality of the dance forms, cut the cultural barriers and unify with a common language - DANCE. The students, oozing with self-confidence, electrified the atmosphere as they performed the international dances with panache. The auditorium reverberated with thunderous cheers as the participants performed the perfectly choreographed steps to the tunes of the African Dance, Korean Fan Dance, Latin American Dance, Can-Can Dance from Egypt, Arabian Dance, and Brazilian Dance. This competition received an overwhelming response from the participants and the audience. Everest House won the First Prize, Second prize was bagged by Shivalik House and the Third Prize was clinched by the Nilgiri House. The School Principal, Ms. Deepti Jagota commended the dancers for their perfect synchronisation and precision while executing the performances and encouraged them to keep striving for excellence in all spheres of life. The event was a resounding success as it was a celebration of dance, promoting creativity, talent, and fervour among the students.
