Report on Inter House Sports Meet

‘It’s hard to beat a person who refuses to give up.’

This ethos resonated at the Inter House Sports Meet held from 8 May 2024 to 13 May 2024 at D.A.V. Public School, Sector 37, Faridabad. The Meet was declared open on 8 May 2024 under the leadership of the visionary School Principal, Ms. Deepti Jagota. The Intramural Sports Meet showcased the athletic prowess, indomitable spirit, exceptional skill, and brilliance of the participants of the six houses.  The Girls' Basketball matches were intense and thrilling while the boys displayed fast-paced action, strategic teamwork, and exceptional footwork during the Football matches. The Nilgiri House bagged the First Position in the Girls’ Basket Ball Match; the Himalaya House stood second and the third spot went to the Vindhyachal House.  The Nilgiri House was declared the undisputed champion bagging the coveted First Position, the Everest House stood second and the Vindhyachal House claimed the third position in the Boys’ Football Match. The Meet came to a close on 13 May 2024. The ground reverberated with victory chants from the audience as the winners received their trophies. The School Principal in her address lauded the participants for their grit and discipline. She further stressed that it takes loads of discipline, hard work, grit and determination to become a sportsperson. She urged all the students to make sports an integral part of their lives as it not only builds character but also empowers them to lead a wholesome life.
