Report on Investiture Ceremony - Middle Segment

‘Responsibility begins with courage and ends with honour’

It is rightly said that ‘leaders are not born, they are made. The Investiture Ceremony is held to entrust the newly elected Council Members with authority and responsibility to lead and represent their respective roles. D.A.V. Public School, Sector 37, Faridabad, under the able leadership of the School Principal, Ms. Deepti Jagota, organised an Investiture Ceremony for the Middle Segment on 15 May 2024, to inculcate leadership qualities among the students. The momentous occasion began with a soulful rendition of the Gayatri Mantra by the school choir. The Principal welcomed the Special Guest of Honour, Dr. Smriti Sharma, an alumna, who has made the school proud with her achievements. The outgoing Yojak and Yojika for the session 2023-24, Kapeesh Singh and Shraddha Sharma read the House report recounting the successful conduction of all the scholastic and co-scholastic events during the previous session.

Sahil Kumar Sharma of Class VIII F and  Trisha Sharma of VIII B were adjudged the ‘Yojak’ and ‘Yojika’ respectively after an arduous selection process. The newly-elected Captains, Vice- Captains, and Prefects of the six houses, proudly led by their House Wardens received their badges symbolising the trust reposed on them by the school management. The Office Bearers took an  ‘Oath of Office’ affirming their commitment to the responsibility conferred upon them.

The Principal, in her speech, congratulated the new appointees and encouraged them to be committed to the school and to the position entrusted to them. She further stressed that leadership always comes with integrity and such responsibilities equip the students with the life skills required to face the future. She also congratulated the Middle Wing Supervisory Head, Ms. Ashu Pandita Kaul and the House Co-ordinators for successfully conducting the event. A scintillating Assembly Programme by the students of Class VIII D on the theme ‘An Ideal Student’ highlighted the qualities required to be an ideal student. The programme culminated with Samapan Geet and the Jai Gosh .
