On the 1st of September 2023, the Primary Segment of D.A.V. School, Sector 37,Faridabad under the capable leadership of its Principal Ms. Deepti Jagota and with the guidance of Supervisory Head Ms. Dimple Bhatia, organised a series of SUPW activities for students in Classes 3 to 5. These activities aimed to foster values such as self-reliance, dignity of labour, cooperation, and a classless society while bridging the gap between education and real-world application. The students thoroughly enjoyed these activities, which not only provided hands-on learning experiences but also correlated knowledge with practical skills. In the words of Albert Einstein, "Learning is experience. Everything else is just information."
For Class 3, the activity involved creating colourful Table Mats, encouraging creativity and teamwork among the young learners. As Helen Keller famously said, "Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much."
In Class 4, students had the opportunity to craft Photo Frames using popsicle sticks, reinforcing the value of resourcefulness. Thomas Edison's words come to mind: "To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk."
Class 5 students engaged in a Pen Stand-making activity, promoting a scientific outlook towards craftsmanship. As Marie Curie once remarked, "Nothing in life is to be feared; it is only to be understood."
These SUPW activities not only enriched the students' educational journey but also instilled important life values and skills for a brighter future.
