An interactive session conducted by Haryana Police  


D.A.V. Public School, Sector-37, Faridabad in association with Haryana Police organised an interactive session on 19th May, 2022  on Safety, Security and Protection of students in real and virtual world. A variety of topics were discussed which included Self Defence, Crime Against Women, Drug Abuse, Cyber Crime and Traffic Rules.

Inspector Savita Rani - Incharge Student Police Cadet, Senior Citizens and Crime against Women and Children told about Cyber crime and gave insights to how we can keep ourselves safe online. She also shared the Hotline numbers 1091 and 1098 which can be dialed in case of any type of abuse.  ASI Virender Singh (Traffic Tau) told about traffic rules and how to drive safely on roads. He also gave real examples of how people fall in the trap of drugs and narcotics and how we should avoid it and made the students take a pledge that they will follow all the rules and regulations set by Government while driving and try to become patriotic citizens who love their country.

A demo on self-defence was given by Durga Shakti Team. Different techniques on how to protect oneself were demonstrated. They reiterated the fact that by keeping cool head and memorising some simple techniques a person can protect oneself by reducing the amount of injury.

Principal Ms. Deepti Jagota while addressing the students urged them to remain more cautious while being online and be aware of the threats which are posed.She also advised the students to confide in their teachers, parents or any elder in the family in case they face any abuse.
