Report on Silver Jubilee Celebration- 1997-2022

‘School is a building which has four walls with tomorrow inside.’

From its humble beginning as a primary school, D.A.V Public School, Sector 37, Faridabad has grown into maturity with all modern facilities along with deep rooted moral and cultural values. A magnificent function was held at the school on December 30, 2022 to commemorate the 25 glorious years of this institution.

A galaxy of dignitaries graced the event.  Mr. J.K Kapoor, The Secretary, D.A.V College Managing Committee and Vice Chairman of the School; Director, Public Schools - Mr. V.K Chopra, The Chief Guest; Regional Officer, Haryana Zone B- Mr. S.S. Choudhary, Guest of Honour; The Manager of the school- Ms. Chitra Nakara; Educationists - Ms. Kavita Chopra, Ms. Hemlata Choudhary, Mrs. J.K.Kapoor; Chairman- Rawal Group of Educational Institution - Mr C.B.Rawal; State President Haryana Progressive School - Mr. S.S.Gusain; President Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha Haryana- Mr. K.L Khurana, an eminent member of LMC; Director, Principal - D.A.V. Institute of Management – Mr. Satish Ahuja; Senior Advocate and LMC member- Mr. Jagbeer Bhadana; President Private School Association, Mr. Ramesh Dagar; Indian Revenue Service - Special guest and Alumnus-   Mr. Kapil Kumar Singh. All the luminaries were welcomed by the School Principal, Ms. Deepti Jagota graciously with planters.

The school was artistically decorated with intricate designs and flowers. The dignitaries were accorded a Guard of Honour led by the students of the School Band. The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries followed by the chanting of the much-revered Gayatri Mantra. A scintillating Instrumental Orchestra by the students of the Senior Segment followed by an electrifying Band Presentation by students of class I and II with a plethora of musical instruments mesmerised the audience. Dancing divas of Nursery and Kindergarten welcomed everyone with a remarkable Welcome Dance that left the guests and parents spellbound. The cultural and regional fragrance of Rajasthan was transmitted by talented students of the Primary Segment with an amazing Dance performance. The Principal in her welcome address, expressed her joy accentuating the magnificent journey of the school, highlighting its achievements. A report on 25 years of Academic Excellence was presented by the Vice Head Boy - Shantanu Kumar. The Cultural Secretary, Ankita Tiwari, proudly expressed her feelings of being a student of the school which focusses not only on academics but also provides ample opportunities for honing creative talents through the extra-curricular activities. The Discipline Secretary, Utkarsh Tiwari alluded the school’s liberal approach towards sports which aligns with our Honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s motto ‘Khelega India tabhi to Khilega India.’

The “School Colour Awards” were conferred upon the meritorious students, who had consistently worked hard for five years and proved their mettle in academics, by the Chief Guest and dignitaries. Furthermore, awards for Best Students in various categories like Best Orator, Best Debater, Tech Astute, Best Video Editor, Best Media Personality, Best Dancer, Best Singer, Best Artist were also bestowed. The dignitaries and the alumni of the school were presented with mementos for their substantial contribution towards the growth of the school.

The Chief Guest, Shri. V.K. Chopra, Director Public Schools applauded and praised the school for raising the educational standards. The Manager of the school, Ms. Chitra Nakra gave the Vote of Thanks. The venue reverberated with thunderous applause as the students presented the Group Song “Hum DAV ke Bacche”, showcased Rhythmic Yoga, Quawalli, and Instrumental Group Dance. The Cultural Bonanza was a fusion of talents. The programme was highly acclaimed by one and all. The memorable afternoon concluded with the Shanti Path.
