Special Assembly on “DIWALI”

The Festival of Lights came alive when the students of D.A.V. Public School, Sector 37, Faridabad, conducted a special assembly on Diwali with great festive gusto. Diwali is not just a day which is an ode to the homecoming of the Lord Rama, it also carries with it the essence of victory of good over evil and light over darkness. The assembly began with the auspicious lighting of diya by the Principal. Decorated in vibrant hues, the school auditorium had an ambience of joy and happiness. The program was a perfect fusion of dance, drama and music showing Indian traditions gracefully. Students also spoke about how we can celebrate a cracker free, eco- friendly and safe Diwali.
The assembly concluded with a message by the Principal, Ms. Deepti Jagota, who expressed her deep concern about the environment and advised the students to celebrate Green Diwali. Students were urged to enjoy the festival by lighting earthern diyas, decorating their houses and spending quality time with their friends and family.
