Leadership is an action, not a position

The Investiture Ceremony for the new academic session (Classes VI-XII) was yet again a special occasion where the newly appointed Head Boy Aryan Shashi Mishra and the Head Girl Dhriti Maurya, along with a team of 14 Student Council Members, House Captains and Prefects  were prepared to don the mantle of responsibility and to carry it out with outmost dedication. The ceremony began with the chanting of Gayatri Mantra followed by DAV Gaan.

The Chief Guest for the ceremony was Mr. Kapil Kumar Singh, our school alumni who is Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax (IRS), Delhi. In his address he told the students that in order to succeed in life follow 4 C’s (Commitment, Concentration, Confidence and Collaborations) and 2 D’s (Determination and Dedication).

The newly elected student council members pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honour and glory of the institution while receiving their prestigious badges and sash from the Chief Guest Mr. Kapil Kumar Singh and Principal Ms. Deepti Jagota. The Principal motivated the children to keep moving forward despite all the obstacles and challenges that life throws in front of us. She said that being a leader is a vital role and that the new Student Council would have ample responsibilities to shoulder.

With the flags held high and heads standing tall, the ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
