Road Safety Hour

“Road accidents are the biggest killer of people worldwide.”

A road safety hour was observed at D.A.V. Public School, Sector - 37 to create awareness on the importance of traffic safety rules in order to prevent accidents on the road which take away thousands of precious lives every year. The effort was made in response to the ongoing project ‘Road Safety and Juniors’- a joint initiative by Government of Haryana, MG Motor and TRAX.

More than 50 students participated in the drive. Self made, catchy slogans were shown by the students during the assembly and later outside the school premises to pass a message of road safety.

Principal Ms. Deepti Jagota addressed the students to reflect on the consequence of not observing safe traffic rules. She appealed them to follow traffic rules and to maintain safety for one and all. It was indeed a remarkable endeavour to change the mindset of the people and to inspire people to act responsibly on the road.
